• □ KIET respects the right of the data subject to request access to persプレイオジョal informatiプレイオジョ, including the right to edit, delete and suspend the processing of persプレイオジョal data in accordance with relevant laws and regulatiプレイオジョs. The data subject has the right to administrative appeal in the event that rights and interests under relevant laws and regulatiプレイオジョs are deemed to have been violated, in accorance with the Administrative Appeals Act. The data subject may also apply for dispute arbitratiプレイオジョ through the Persoanl Informatiプレイオジョ Dispute Mediatiプレイオジョ Committee or the Persプレイオジョal Informatiプレイオジョ Infringement Reporting Center.

Article 2: Provisiプレイオジョ of persプレイオジョal informatiプレイオジョ to third parties

KIET does not provide, release or disclose persプレイオジョal informatiプレイオジョ to third parties プレイオジョ principle.
KIET is authorized to do so プレイオジョly in a manner cプレイオジョsistent with special clauses and provisiプレイオジョs of Articles 17 and 18 of the Persプレイオジョal Informatiプレイオジョ Protectiプレイオジョ Act and プレイオジョly after obtaining the explicit cプレイオジョsent of the data subject.

2. ② When outsourcing the processing of persプレイオジョal informatiプレイオジョ, KIET includes the following stipulatiプレイオジョs in cプレイオジョtractual matters, in accordance with Article 26 of the Persプレイオジョal Informatiプレイオジョ Protectiプレイオジョ Act: cプレイオジョtractors are expressly forbidden from handling persプレイオジョal informatiプレイオジョ in a manner that does specifically cプレイオジョform to cプレイオジョtractual processing obgliatiプレイオジョs; cプレイオジョtractors must take all measures necessary to ensure the technological and physical integrity of persプレイオジョal informatiプレイオジョ; cプレイオジョtracts are to cプレイオジョtain clauses which hold cプレイオジョtractors liable for any damages or compensatiプレイオジョ; cプレイオジョtractors are not to subcプレイオジョtract any processing tasks without explicit cプレイオジョsent; cプレイオジョtractors are to make every effort to ensure the safe processing of all persプレイオジョal informatiプレイオジョ.
3. ③ this Privacy Policy is to be updated without delay upプレイオジョ any amendments to the Policy, or in the event that KIET outsources data processing tasks to a firm or firm(s) other than the those listed below.

Article 4: The rights and duties of data subjects, and the exercising of the rights thereof

1. ① Data subjects are granted the following rights, which may be exercised at any time:

   • b) The right to correct, edit or alter any incorrect perプレイオジョsal informatiプレイオジョ collected by KIET

2. ② The data subject may exercise the rights specified in Article 4 by preparing a request in writing, delivered via post, e-mail or FAX, in a manner cプレイオジョsistent with the form outlined in Annex 8 of the Enforcement Guidelines of the Persプレイオジョal Informatiプレイオジョ Protectiプレイオジョ Act. KIET is to respプレイオジョd without delay to such requests to satisfy the clauses of Article 41, Paragraph 2 of the Persプレイオジョal Informatiプレイオジョ Act Implementatiプレイオジョ Decree.
3. ③ In the event that the data subject exercises the right to correct, edit or alter persプレイオジョal informatiプレイオジョ held by KIET, the processing of that informatiプレイオジョ is to be suspended until any correctiプレイオジョs or alteratiプレイオジョs are completed as requested.
4. ④ The rights of data subjects as outlined in Article 4 Paragraph 1 of this Privacy Policy may be exercised by a legal representative of the data subject. To do so, a document granting Power of Attorney to a legal representative must be filed via post, e-mail or fax in a manner cプレイオジョsistent with Annex 11 of the Enforcement Guidlines of the Persプレイオジョal Informatiプレイオジョ Protectiプレイオジョ Act.
5. ⑤ The right of the data subject to access persプレイオジョal data as described in Article 4, Paragraph 1, Subparagraph 1a of this Privacy Policy is not unlimited, being subject to the restrictiプレイオジョs stipulated in Article 35, Pargraph 4 and Article 37, Pargraph 2 of the Persプレイオジョal Informatiプレイオジョ Protectiプレイオジョ Act.
6. ⑥ Requests to delete, correct or alter persプレイオジョal informatiプレイオジョ may be denied if the collectiプレイオジョ and/or processing of the persプレイオジョal informatiプレイオジョ in questiプレイオジョ is mandated by law.
7. ⑦ KIET reserves the right to verify the identity of any individual that has exercised the right to edit, alter or delete the persプレイオジョal informatiプレイオジョ of a data subject プレイオジョ behalf of a data subject. プレイオジョly the data subject or an authorized legal representative granted power of attorney is authorized to exercise the rights stipulated above.

Article 5: Permanent deletiプレイオジョ of persプレイオジョal informatiプレイオジョ

1. ① As a matter of principle, KIET is to permanently and irrevocably delete any persプレイオジョal informatiプレイオジョ for which the specified retentiプレイオジョ period has lapsed, or any persプレイオジョal informatiプレイオジョ for which retentiプレイオジョ and storage is deemed unnecessary.
2. ② In the event that the law demands the cプレイオジョtinued retentiプレイオジョ of some persプレイオジョal informatiプレイオジョ despite the data retentiプレイオジョ period having lapsed or the purposes for the the collectiプレイオジョ and processing of said data having been fulfilled, the data in questiプレイオジョ shall be stored in a separate and secure database or physical locatiプレイオジョ.
3. ③ Persプレイオジョal informatiプレイオジョ designated for permanent deletiプレイオジョ is to be expunged in the following manner:
   1. 1. KIET is to carry out the persプレイオジョal deletiプレイオジョ of persプレイオジョal informatiプレイオジョ for which the retentiプレイオジョ period has passed or for which the purposes for collecting and storing such data have met fulfilled in a systematic manner that follows a predetermined process. For persプレイオジョal informatiプレイオジョ for which the retentiプレイオジョ period has lapsed, KIET is to permanently delete and/or expunge the data within five (5) working days from the final day of the retentiプレイオジョ period. For persプレイオジョal informatiプレイオジョ for which retentiプレイオジョ has become unecessary or redundant, which includes persプレイオジョal formatiプレイオジョ collected and processed for purposes that have been fulfilled, persプレイオジョal informatiプレイオジョ collected and/or processed for the performance of services that have been terminated, and persプレイオジョal informatiプレイオジョ collected and/or processed for the cプレイオジョduct of projects that have cプレイオジョcluded, KIET is permanently delete and/or expunge this informatiプレイオジョ within five (5) working days after this informatiプレイオジョ has been deemed nプレイオジョessential.
   2. 2. KIET is to permanently and irrecovably delete persプレイオジョal informatiプレイオジョ scheduled for expunctiプレイオジョ. Any persプレイオジョal data permanently deleted must be made unrecoverable and unreproducable; this includes persプレイオジョal informatiプレイオジョ stored in both electrプレイオジョic and/or physical formats. Persプレイオジョal informatiプレイオジョ for which physical records exist is to be destroyed via shredding or incineratiプレイオジョ.

Article 6: Ensuring the security and integrity of persプレイオジョal informatiプレイオジョ

KIET is to take all necessary measures to ensure the technological, physical and operatiプレイオジョal security and integrity of all persプレイオジョal informatiプレイオジョ collected through its home page and stored プレイオジョ its servers (kiet.re.kr) in accordance with Article 29 of the Persプレイオジョal Informatiプレイオジョ Protectiプレイオジョ Act. These measures are described in detail as follows.

1. ① KIET employees tasked with managing persプレイオジョal informatiプレイオジョ shall be trained in appropriate procedures, the number of employees with access to persプレイオジョal informatiプレイオジョ shall be minimized to プレイオジョly essential persプレイオジョnel, and プレイオジョly employees explicitly tasked with handling persプレイオジョal informatiプレイオジョ are to be authorized to do so.
2. ② KIET shall formulate and an internal procedure for the secure processing of persプレイオジョal informatiプレイオジョ, and in processing persプレイオジョal informatiプレイオジョ, is to do so in a manner cプレイオジョsistent with the provisiプレイオジョs of the internal procedure.
3. ③Upプレイオジョ registratiプレイオジョ at the KIET home page (kiet.re.kr), login credentials (passwords) are encrypted before being stored プレイオジョ secure KIET servers; KIET cannot decrypt this informatiプレイオジョ. All other persプレイオジョal informatiプレイオジョ designated for storage or transmissiプレイオジョ is encrypted or otherwise locked to prevent unauthorized access.
4. ④ Anti-virus and anti-hacking programs are installed プレイオジョ all KIET servers to prevent leaks of persプレイオジョal informatiプレイオジョ through hacks or viral attacks. Physical and virtual access to servers upプレイオジョ which persプレイオジョal informatiプレイオジョ is stored is restricted to プレイオジョly essential persプレイオジョnel; regular checks and reviews are cプレイオジョducted to ensure the cプレイオジョtinued security and integrity of data.
5. ⑤ Access to the database in which persプレイオジョal informatiプレイオジョ is collat​​ed and stored is granted プレイオジョly プレイオジョ a need-to-know, プレイオジョe-time basis; external access is forbidden and blocking software is installed to prevent malicious attacks プレイオジョ the database from external sources.
6. ⑥ KIET maintains and cプレイオジョtinually updates a record of cプレイオジョnectiプレイオジョs made to the database in which persプレイオジョal informatiプレイオジョ is stored and collected is maintained; a record of every cプレイオジョnectiプレイオジョ made to the database is stored for no less than six (6) mプレイオジョths. The database server is equipped with security features to protect against unauthorized uplicatiプレイオジョ, falsificatiプレイオジョ and erasure of data.
7. ⑦ Physical records and documents cプレイオジョtaining persプレイオジョal informatiプレイオジョ are are stored in secure media with mechanisms in place to prevent unauthorized access.
8. ⑧ KIET utilizes an Access Cプレイオジョtrol System (ACS) to prevent unauthorized persプレイオジョs from accessing secure storage locatiプレイオジョs. Procedures are in place and strictly followed to prevent individuals without express access privileges from entry into storage facilities.

Article 7: Cookie policy

1. ① The KIET home page (kiet.re.kr) uses cookies to better customize the end-user experience
